The party has been n s visit to the Marlthra hrovinoes and their first stop was at lloncton. From Monctm they went to Truro, New Glasgow, Plctuu and then over to the Island which will be their last plane to visit. At each point the party was given a tremendous reception and were entertained at dinners, lunches and banquets as well as being taken on sight-seeing tours.

There they met many old and new friends who extended their hospi- tality and drove the visitors to the’ various points of interest in the district. One of the most wonder- ful sights they saw was the view from Mt. Lowe, 4,500 feet-above sea level. Coming down this mountain in the evening by cable cars, a most gorgeous scene is dis- played to the eyes of the tourist. Away in the‘ distance on both sides are seen the cities of the plains all magnificently illuminated by elec- tricity and for all the world convey- lug the impression of a scene from fairyland, At Santiago was witnes- sed the great American Navy at anchor in s magnificent head- quarters of e Pacific. Great work for the completion of the head- quarters is in progress, it being stated that about 85,000,000 is be- ing expended annually for this pur- pose. A day was spent at Tiajuana, old Mexico, the scene of horserac- lug and the old timebar rooms. usually graphically displayed in moving pictures of the wild and woolly west. Ono bar-room is no less than 160 feet long and usually is well patroniz- ed. One or the memorable scenes‘ which impressed the visitors was the Mission ‘inn of Riverside. This wonderful hotel was built and equipped at a cost of $5,000,000. and includes in its furnishing and decorations antiques and relics from all over the world. Thousands of people visit there annually, and it is the pride of the proprietor to secure at almost any cost anything unique which would appeal to the artistic taste of the connoisseur.

Francis attended P. W. College until January, when he was com- pelled to return home owing to ill-health. All that medical skill and tender and loving care could do for him was done, ‘but God will- ed that he should be taken, and cruel as was the blow, his loved ones had to submit and say "Thy will be done."

During his illness he was ‘fre- quently visited by his much loved pastor, Rev. Charles McDonald. and his uncle, Monsignor J. C. Mc- Lean.

Requiem Mass was said by Rev. J. C. McLean and services at ‘the grave were conducted ‘by Rev. Chas. McDonald and Rev. J. C. McLean. Besides a host of friends and companions, he leaves to ever fond- ly cherish his sacred memory a sorrowing father and mother. three sisters, Mrs. John McCorimiac, Launching; Helen, at home, and Sue, teacher at Launching; and ‘two brothers, James, in- Vancouver, l3.
