SUMMERSIDE speaker for last night‘s weekly meeting of the local Y’s Men’s Club was Ronald Marsh. pre- sident of the National Social Education Committee of Can- ada.
Mr. Marsh, who was introduc- ed by Duane Mollins, gave a very informative talk on the ac- tivities of So-Ed groups across Canada. He stated that the local So‘Ed group is the only one in Canada that is sponsored by a club or organization, making It unique in that respect.
In describing the. amivities of the Solid National executive. Mr. Marsh said that it is very closely allied with the National Council of the YMCA and is staffed mainly with young men and women in order to channel their thinking toward activities which are in line with young nada.
He also outlined the growth of the So-Ed movement across

In his closing remarks Mr. Marsh paid glowing tribute to the delicious lobster supper which had been served by the Y's Menettes. He said that Y’s Men in his own area had told him that tho" swould be the type of hospitality that he could ex- pect in Summerside.

ALBERTON — Mr. and Mrs Arthur Getson have arrived from Moose Jaw, Sash. make their home in this pro- vince. At present they are liv- ing in Alberton.
Mr. Getson. a native of Kit- dare Capes. has acquired the Travers property near his old ome and plans to spend his years of retirement here.
Mr. Getson went West on I harvest excursion in 1915. Since. then he has made. his home in
oose He worked first as a millwrirzht. then was em. .ployed with the city's fire de- partment for 15 years and then with the CPR passenger sor- vice.
Mrs. Getson has always liv- cd in Saskatchewan but she loves Prince Edward Island as much as her husband does. For many years they made an an- nual visit here and now they will take up permanent rest- dence. They enjoy the quiet, free life which is character-il- tic of this rural province. Mr. Getson is an ardent huntcr and fisherman.
