ST. DOUIS. (AP)-Phil Rlzzuto. veteran New York Yankee short- stop, flew back to New York Thursday night after recovering from an attack of heat fatigue and food poisoning.
Rizzuto had planned to fly to Washington. where the club plays Saturday and Sunday. but decided to go home first and rejoin the Yanks in time for' Saturday's tilt.
He collapsed after Wednesday night's game with St. Louis Browns.

UHICAGO, (GP)-A special com- mittee of the American League will meet here probably next week to chose a new home for the st. Louis Browns baseball club. Toronto, Montreal and five United States cities have been mentioned as possible sites for the club's operations. The U.s. cities are Baltimore, Houston, Kansas City. and Minneapolis-Bi. Paul. The seven cities were named by Browns manager Bill Veeckg He told a. Los Angeles sports writer that they had asked him to state their offers to the special league committee.

A meeting of the four-man lea- gue committee scheduled for.Fri- day at New York was cancelled Wednesday because several com- mittee members could not attend.
