A swd supper dish can be made by using canned com and canned tomatoes. Escallop together with s few cracker crumbs between the layers of corn and tomatoes. Season, and use plenty of butter.

3 cups grated parsnips or car- rots (3 medium)

$4 teaspoon salt

Dash of pepper

2 tablespoons water

1 cup seasoned. medium cream sauce

"1/3 cup d.ry bread crumbs

1 teaspoon mild-flavored fat.

Place‘ grated parsnip: or carrots in a greased casserole, sprinkle with salt and pepper amd add water. Cover and bake in a mod- erately hot oven, 375 degrees F, for 15 uninliltes or until tender. Remove from oven. pour cream sauce over the top and cover with bread crumbs which have been lightly browned in the melted fat. Return to the oven for 5 minutes, uncov- ered. Six servings. '
