The annual cancer drive for Charlottetown and vicinity gets underway today with an objective of $5.000. A total of 8'1 teams divided among seven divisions will canvass tho City until Friday eve- ning in an effort to raise these funds.

Continuing. Dr. MacMlllan said cancer prevention work is more important than some other health agencies. Cancer prevention work deals with the saving of people's lives. -

Now, I know and you know that Mr. Jones is a pretty hard bargainer and that hc is elected to look after the Pro- vincial business of Prince Edward Island and to get everything he can for the people of this Pro- vince. I am not going to ask him to say that ha wouldn't like an even better bargain but I was pleased to hear him say that the agreement Prince Edward Island now has with the Federal Govern- ment has enabled the Government of this Province to do a great many things for the people that it could not do if the Province did not share through their tax agreement with the Dominion, in the great sources of revenue which are de- rived from the taxation of busi- nesscs and industries which pros- per because they do business in all parts of Canada.
