Play throughout was ' wide open as each goalie faced 35 shots in regulatim time. Mmctcn outshot us 7—5 in the overtime including me into a Gutez less net. After a turn-around. of a 6—2 win over U.N.B. the previous weekend on a technicality and obvious this-understanding we rea117 needed a win as our record is now 7-7—1 in- stead of 8-6-1._ The Panthers now face a hard schedule as in its next six games five will be on the road against tough oppositim. . . two at F,M.U. this weekend, Dal. and St. F.X. on Sand 6 Feb. and at Mcncton on the 9th _, Mount A. will be here on 25th Jan. We need better than a split in these games to achieve post—season play. Our lady Panthers travelled afar over the weekend visiting both Frederiction and Main. Whey lost to U.N.R. Playing in the RFST league in the country Martctau, who have been national champ— ions for two years and are ll—l for the season, ‘Dalhousie, the only tean to beat Mon- cticn in league play, are accorded not better than a #7 rating. Men's Basket- ball is even more ridiculous! Saint Mary's lead their league with a 5-1 record are rated #10. Dalhousie, right behind S.M.U. , with 4-1 is rated. *3 while St. F.X. #4 in the league are rated as #8. Dave Nutbrown's Acadiam, third in the stand— ings, is not rated. It MUST be the Central Canada Syndrome!
