Toronto MP Tries Opinion On Sweeps,Que.,Pensions

By KEN KELLY , OTTAWA (CP)—Do you favor‘ government-run sweepstakes? Ten out of 11 in Toronto re- plied yes to that question in an MP poll.

The question was one of nine on public issues asked by New Democrat Reid Scott in a mailed questionnaire to 25,000 homes in ' constituency of Toronto Danforth.

Mr. Scott, 37-year-old lawyer- economist. has been snowed un- der tabulating thousands of re- plies to his questionnaire in which he is seeking guidance from constituents on the sub- jects involved.

A sampling from among the replies received indicates that five out of six of his constitu- ents think French Canada has been fairly treated under Con federation.

And three out of four Scott constituents think the $75-3- month old age pension should be paid at age 65 instead of 70. WIDEN DIVORCE GROUNDS
