FUNERAL YESTERDAY -- The funeral of the late Mrs. Donald Nicholson was held private-ly from her late residence, 124 Prince Street yesterday afternoon. The vessel is 61 feet long and has 16 foot beam and an 8 foot draft. Fishing about 10 mics out she will not interfere with the in-shore fishermen.

Child Killed in Street Accident

Another fatality occurred in the city yesterday morning when I two-year-old girl was almost in- stantly killed when she was struck by a car, on Chestnut Street. near her home. The child, Nesta Loughmn, who lives at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Henry Loughran, was apparently stand- ing in front of a parked car on Chestnut Street. She suddenly ran out in the street directly in the palth of an oncoming can driven by Mr. William Long. Charlottetown.

According to eye witnesses the car was proceeding slowly at the time, but the driver had no chance to see the little girl. He stated he first knew of the acci- dent when he looked back after feeling an impact. Coroner Dr. I. J. Yeo decided that no inquest. was necessary in view of the cir- cumstances and statements given him by those present It the time.

Or what is to be done with a horse returning to the track after st long layoff. Or the one which Is always close-up but never R winner? These are only the minor problems which confront a race classifier. There are many others and more technical ones to untangle. and it takes fast hendwork to convince some own- ers that they are not the vic- tims of discrimination. When an owner is unconvinced, and thinks his horse is in over his head. his wrath falls on Secretary Acorn. and many in rhubarb de- velops when the opposing views are aired.
