attack on unemploymen’ that worked well last year at Thet- ford Mines now is being used at Malartic, Que., andther min- ing town jolted by heavy lay- | offs.
At Malartic, the Quebec gov- ernment and a mining company have each chipped $6,000 into a ifund to help relocate 100 gold miners jobless since their pit closed down.
