Our young colleze siudents are about to return totheirstudy, some for their laat course. Much praise isdue to them for their good qualities. We wish them every success in their studies, ,
The business men of this place who have been buying in smeltsall the fall have received returns for some of them and they have done wellso far. The smelts struck in the Sturgeon and Oyster river this fallso thick that it was quite easy to make good pay fishing them. These fish bave never been known to be in these rivers very thick before.
We are glad tol-arn that some of our young men areshowing good examples to both young anil old, and not forgetting quiteannumber of our young tuadies of good society. I must say that they area credit to the place.
A sad accident happened to Mr. John Creed, sr.,on the 12th ult. He had his ankle broken atthe hauling of a house. He had t:.ken the job of hauling the house, but the kind friends and people of the place and vicinity moved iton the 16ch for Mr. Creed as be would be at quite an expense it it had not being hauled by them. Much praire and credit isdue them for their kind assistance,
