Do you realize that, out of the Universitity's total en- rollment of 1478 students, 1002 are in the faculty of Arts? Why then, shouldn't the Arts students form the majority at the dinner, since they are clearly the majority at the university?

Also, (perhaps I am over- sensitive), but I detected a hit of condescention in the mention of Arts fresh— man and sophomores.- The first years in any faculty are not as easy as some like to think. - And Arts is a respectable a faculty as any. (While we're on the subject, I would here- by denounce any and all who ridicule the Arts pro- gram; it gives one a much better liberal education than any faculty. - and I invite any arguments on this statement!) . How can any compasSion— ate human being even consi— der the injustice of the seal hunt and remain aloof from the ceaseless slaugh— ter of human infants?

It is time for each of us to set his priorities in

order and to take a stand on the real dilemes that confront contemporary soc- iety. let us not pretend to shmf our charity and con- cern by feighm'ng to be ap- palled at such a compara- tively insignificant issue as the seal hunt. Save our energies for demonstrations and appeals against the deadliest atrocity we are faced with today - the mur— der of innocent unborn hu— man beings!

First of all I'd like to contend Marsha Gaudet and Valerie Nbore regarding their excellent article on abortion.In view of 'the right for life' most uni- versity students must real—- ize that abortion is the actual killing of somebody; that was conceived of man and wanan, by the will of God thru the marvels of nature. The reason that this person was killed is because he(she) was conceived out of lust and not love!
