wedding ceremony were Mrs. Claude DeLaney and Mr. James Paynter. During the signing of the register, the wedding car was decorated. and as thebrldai couple were coming out from the manse, they were show- ered with confetti, after which they motored to the home 0i’ the brides’ parents, where a reception was given to about. 60 guests.

‘The dining room waa beautifully decorated with pink and white streamers. Two lovely three tier cakes were placed one at. each end of the table, and the supper was served by relatives of the brides.

After the reception a large- crowd gathered to serenade thel brides and groccns.

The out of town guests at the rcccption were Mrs. Wesley Mac- Kenzic and hcr daughter. Irene. and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Black all of Sourls, '

The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing; Mr. Arthur MacKay. played several selections on the organ during the evening. The wedding parties left next morning for a tour through the Maritimes and on their return Mr. and Mrs. Cairns will reside in Tryon. where the groom is a prosperous falvner, Mr. and Mrs. Matthews will reside in Summcrsidc where the groom is an employee with Curran lit Briggs. Jennie previous to her marriage was clerk with the staff of R. T, Holman‘s. Summerside. and Blanche was clerk at W. F. Mac- CormiciCs store. Albany. Their friends all join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Matthew-s and ‘Mr. and Mrs. Cairns much happiness.
