When we were young (and co— ntrary to some of our detr- actors, that was long after Confederation) there was a popular song "What Can I
Say Dear After I Say I'm Sorry?" and that title sum- marizes very well our feel— ing about the two one-goal losses (throw out the score on an empty net) that we suffered over the weekend. We felt our Panthers played well and gave their very best efforts in both games but we must concede that Mo— ncton earned their wins and, as their own coach observed, played their best games of the season. For the excell- ent way.we played we don't think any excuses or apolo- gies are necessary. we were greatly distressed however, at the loss of Donnie Murn- aghan whose broken collar bone puts him out for the season. He will be sorely missed in the UNB series &' hopefully, in the playoffs at Moncton if we succeed in knocking out Gerry Bell and his Red Devils. Any team wo- uld miss a player of Donnie's calibre. . We usually like to make light of events but, this time, we'll depart from pl— easantries and comment ad- versely on the manner in wh- ich some fans used the Mon—
cton games to relieve them— selves of anti—French Cana- dian hostilities by hurling loud mouthed Obscenities at the players and visiting fans. Such actions may be excellent therapy for those with psychiatric troubles but we can't see why normal people should descend to that level —- particularly so when contrasted with the deportment of the large nu- mber of spirited but polite fans who root for the Blue Eagles. One of their Radio Announcers told me they are used to it —- they get it in almost every rink they vis— it!!! Ever wonder why there is a Separatist Movement? End of Sermon

Bernadine Hall finally got their piano back from the Barn last Wednesday. It took only two weeks of begging on the part of Laurie Quig— gan and others to the Main- tenance-Department to ach- ieve this feat. Remember the . weather on Wednesday — windy, pouring rain, etc.? Mainten— ance decided that it would be a perfect way to move pianos. So the piano arrived at Bernadine via half—ton
truck, four maintenance men and NO tarpaulin. The result was one soaking wet piano. Does one realize what happ— ens to a varnished, perish— able object when it sits on the back of an open truck in the driving rain? Rain certainly does nothing for to rust strings. The men we— re politely asked if Main- tenance had a tarpaulin in

Our final basketball game of the season ended with Dalhousie winning by 11 po— ints after we led at the ha- lf. Next year, with the ex- perience now aquired, we look for great improvement.
