ter from our friend Cyril L. Dauphinee, Halifax, yesterday, with a score card of last Satur- day's races. results of wlhlch ap- peared in this paper. Mr. Dauph- inee states that race meets will be held regularly each Saturday throughout the winter and the some design of sports program will be used which. by the way. is s very attractive one with pictures of Mighty Hanover 2.02%, commodore Abbe. Hal Britton 2.09%. and Royal-st-Lsw Zmbé. There are also interesting turf notes and quite a number of ads. Mr. Dauphinee says the meets are quite popular with the public and have an average attendance of 2.500 people.

The first meet was held on No- vember 11th and they plan to go through each Saturday until May. Thvrt‘ are lots of horses ready and willing to race; a recent aur- vr-y showed a total of 43. owned either in Halifax or Dartmouth. and there have been many close finishes and interest has been kept at a high pitch. in New Glasgow Blue Acres track will hold races once weekly during the winter. Horses will race to tuikies the same as in Toronto.

Len O'Mesra has recently pur- chased n nice year-and-a-haif-old filly by Fisydalc 2.04".- out of the same dam as Billy Kslmuok. that Willard Kelly raced so success- fully for Lee Howard, Cornwall. 1h» past season. ‘This filly is n born traitor with nice action and is good headed and Len is exer- tlsing her every day and thor- oughly mannerlng her.
