OTTAWA. (OF) --The govern- ment will likely spend about sl5i,- ooo,ooo on public works projects in i954-55, concentrating on speeding development of the Trans- anada Highway and construction of new federal buildings.

OTTAWA, (GP) -- The ROA.l"'s high command has discussed plans for a new super-sonic ict airrxaft to bolster Canada's defences.

This was one of the topics on the agenda. for a. highly secret two- day meeting of the top 17 RCAF

officers which concluded here Thursday. An RCAF announcement said

only that "under the chairmanship of the chief of the air staff. Air Marshal C. R. Slernon. the group reviewed ROAF plans for the com- ing year and discussed the major problems asoclated with these plans."

Officers attending included Air Marshal J, L, Plant, chief of staff, Allied air forces central Europe. Air Vice-Marshal A. L. The CIF-100 could handle any bomber-s which it might come up against now but it. probably will be obsoleecent in a few years. ,
