Resolved, That the Report of the several sub-committees appointed to inspect and re- port upon the state of this city, as to vaccin- ation, is very satisfactory. From thi« Report, made by thoroughly reliabie citizeng, it appears that out of a population of over 12.. 000, only 1,122 had not been vaccinated up to yesterday morning. That sivce then, by the exertions of the Government vaccinator, Dr, Conroy, and the medical gentlemen who kindly consented personally to visit the homes of those not vacciuated and vaccinate them, only 50 per cent of those so reported remsin undone np to this time-— Wednesday evening, 6 o’clock —and they report that by the end of this ~eek al! the population of the city will have been vaccinated,

My Dear Comrades in Christ,—It affords me pleasure to pen a fow lives to you, not only because of your kind and true friend- ship manifested toward us, but because we are members of the same glorious family and boun! for the same glorious home. And while we were permitted to meet together, and while uuder God we may have been blessed to you, we have felt our hearts glow with joy end gratitude as we mingled together. In endeavoring to strengthen your faith in Jesus, you have strengthened ours. All glory to Jesus. While we deeply regret the circums'ances which separate us for a time, we trust it may be the means of drawing each one closer to Jesus, and declare to us the neces sity of being at all times prepared for death. Also it should urge usto greater dilligence to try and lead a lost and ruined world to the feet of Jeeus. Lotus improve the opportunities as they come. Soon we will have done with this world, when all opportunity of telling the lost of a dear, loving, sympathizing Jesus, will pass for- ever. Satan will rage, the world will oppose but ‘‘ They that turn many to righteous- ness shall shine as the stars for ever and ever.” Hollelujah! Will that be your portion? It may. Surely that is sufli- cient inducement for us to toil earnestly, although we may be slandered and put down as the offscouring of the earth, or put Gown as fools. Well, Hallelujah! It's all for Jesus. Dr. Johnson visited the hospital last evening and this morning, and reporis the patients as comfortable as possible under all the circumstences. He advises the im- mediate opening of the west wing in order that their may be more room and better ventillation,fand the west wing i: now being prepared for patients.

We are requested to state that the offi- cials of the Public Land Office, who are now in the country collecting amounts due the Government, have not been in Charlotte- town since the outbreak of smallpox, nor will they come to Charlottetown until their work is done.
