Concert Review

Many of you missed a great live concert from Brett Ryan last Thursday,October 3 at the Barn.Ryan and his three-member back-up band played straightforward Canadian rock. The rhythm and vocals blended to- yether nicely throughout the night. All the songs were yretty good,so I believe Brett Ryan has a future asa espected musician.

own, and the band started to play a ‘‘desert- eeling’’beat.Ryan was quietas this ‘‘desert’ beat vent on,and suddenly,the music turned to pure rock then he began to play his guitar.Another highlight of le evening was asong in which Ryan said he dedi- ated to his “‘sweet’’ girlfriend called,’’Shake Your lonkey’’.He did two remakes: Bob Dylan’s ‘‘ How oes It Feel?’’(Ryan sounded like Dylan in this umber. ),and Van Morrison’s ‘‘Brown-Eyed

irl’’ (this remake was a ‘‘crowd’’ pleaser,and I bet yan and his boys appreciated these two girls dancing it).
