For four days and four nights, the best of the East Coast music scene rocked the city of Halifax in the biggest awards weekend in the organization’s history. It was cathartic, chaotic, and absolutely alcoholic. The following articles may not cover the entire event, but they give the best representa- tion one lowly editor and his wonderful, sleep-deprived assist- ant could get.

In the next few pages, you will find a summary of the awards, divided into the five main regions of Atlantic Canada, with a nod to the Acadians as well. A special thanks goes out to every musician who remembered that university students listen to music too (considering that most of us are Maritimers, probably care a hell of a lot more than some subscriber to the Globe and Mail who lives in Bumblefuck, Saskatchewan).

If you run into someone featured in this supplement, tell them I loved their music. I think that I forgot to mention that at the time.
