Ten Women is worth seeing if you like good acting, for Miss Anderson is extra— ordinarily accomplished.
It is worth seeing if you like Canadian literature because it includes some fine pieces. It is worth seeing if you like to laugh but if you like moose, it is a revelation not to be missed. '

This Friday, the Confedere ation Centre is going to present Mia Anderson's highly acclaimed one-woman show, Ten Wbmen, Two Men and A Moose. Though one person shows are known to be the most difficult of productions, few people are more qualified for such play/than Mia Anderson. Not only is Mia Anderson the sole actress, but also the writer of the play.
, Ten WOmen, Two Men and A Moose is put together from a selection of poems and prose by different Canad- ian writers: P.K. Page, Violet Anderson, Margaret Atwood, Gwendolyn MacEwan. Mia Anderson, the daugh- ter of a poet, Violet Anderson, has always had a great interest in lit- erature. She has even in the past done many poet— ry readings. Always having 79 love for theatre though, ‘Ten WCmen, Two Men and A Moose is an example of Mia Anderson doing together, the tWo things that she most enjoys.

Island; This was followed by a pantomime of a typical 19th century west Prince household, and then a quilting party. All of' this was interspersed
with sing-alongs and the narrators telling stories and tales of the area.
The second act was done in the same style with the pantomime being of‘a west Prince wedding. Also dur— ing this act, there was a fashion show of styles over the last 100‘years including a show of what under—garments consisted of in the 19th century.
Looked at in theatrical terms, it was terrible. But since none of the people in the pageant are connected with theatre, it couldn't even be referred to as community theatre. It was simply a matter of a ’ group of people getting together to put on a pre- sentation that portrayed their area. For that goal, the pageant was a success. People who possessed cert- ain talents were often\ portrayed on an individual basis, and these came aci ross quite well. Two peo- ple sang songs, one of t which the boy had written himself. Another thing that came across excellent: 1y was the tap dancing that a few of the men did.’ ‘Another part of the page- ant that was quite well done was the sets. The‘ back drops were all done of original scenes, and the amount of beautiful anti- ques used was just amazing.
