Fined S100 For Impaired Driving

A young man from Kcnslni.z- ton yesterday was found guilty of impaired driving and was fined 8100 and costs by Magist- rate E.H. Strong in Summcrside Police Court. The trial resulted from a collision in which a car driven by the accused was in an accident at an intersection on Harvard Street recently.

Thursday the defendant told Magistrate E. H. Strong that about four hours previous to an accident resulting in the charge. he had. for the sum of one dol- lar. purchased six bottles of ale from a stranger leaving the re- tail vendor store in Borden.

Defending this statement to which the court indicated some doubt. he said he had several time s purchased ale from stran- gers in Summerside.
