A very pretty wedding was solemnized It the Presbyterian Manse, Montague. on Dec. 6th, at 4 P.M., w-hen Dorothy Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cook. Wood Islands, exchanged marriage vows with At-hol Elvin, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dewar. Brudenell. The ceremony was per- formed by Rev. F. N. Young.
The bride looked lovely in D. street length dress of royal blue chiffon velvet, and wore a corsagc of pink roses. Her only ornament was a pearl necklace, mhe gift of the groom. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Eileen Cook. who wore a street length dress of sol- dier blue taffeta. and a corsage of pink roses.
The groom was ably iauvpporterl by Mr. Charles Cook, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the bridal party motored to Wood Islands where a reception for im- mediate relatives and friends was held at the home or the bride's
parents.
Mrs. Harold Nicholson. Monta- gue. aunt of the bride. and Mrs. Carl Stewart. Montague, aunt of the groom. assisted in serving.
The bride's table was centered with a beautifully decorated wed- ding cake, topped with A miniature bride and groom. The toast to the bride was proposed by Mr. Ches- icr Hancock, and responded to by the groom.
Mrs. Cooke chose for her daugh- tcr's wedding a dress of dark grey crepe. The groomis mother was dressed in a grey figured jersey dress. Mrs. Albcnt Dewar, Bru- dcneil. grandmother of the groom, was also present and wore a black crepe dress with black and while accessories. The happy young cou- pie, who will reside in Montague, were the recipients of many love- ly and useful gifts.
