Moreover, this Christmas should S; a glad and grateful one. because this year has brought forth a plenteous harvest in our Dominion. {Phere is an abundance to satisfy the needs of all in this greatly blessed land, and much remaining to send across the seas for those who are needy and hungry. God. through nature. has filled our cup to overflowing.

Once again Christmas its fast ap- proaching and what are we going to do with it this year? Is it to be merely an interlude of human kindness in a hard, rpugh world? What is it. really?

Jesus and Christmas are insep- arable, We can have His spirit in our hour-ts here and now.

An impressive iorchlight proces- sion from Queen Mary road to the crypt of the 5t. Joseph's Oratory on Mount Royal, attended by hun- dreds of singing and prsylnz Co- tholics and followed by midnight Holy Communion, climaxes the annual pilgrimage of the Cercles Ilacordoire and Ste. Jeanne d'Arc. a strong Catholic anti-alcoholic ‘ to the shrine of their patron saint.

The annual Christmas concert of Canoe Cove School was present- ed to an attentive and appfeclatlvg audience, which jammed the large h-all to capacity, which was a. re- cord attendance. Much credit is due Miss Crosby (her first school concert) for the Isplendld manner in which she trained her pupils. Mr. Daniel MacLean capably took charge as chairman while Mrs, Hickox and Mrs. Dougall Maclgan were accompanist; for the evening.
