Psych Club

The Psychology Club will be holding a Graduate Information Session and Student/Prof Mixer on Friday, September 27th in the Psych Lounge, beginning at 1:00 pm. All Psychology students are encouraged to attend.

Shakespeare on Film

Everyone is invited to free screenings of two films: Roman Polanski's “Macbeth” (Tuesday, September 24) and Tom Stoppard's “Rosencrantz and Guildensterm are Dead” (Tuesday, October 1). Hey you! Yeah you. Are you a political studies major or minor, or are think- ing about it, or know some- one else who is? Yes, well then listen up.

My name is Yvonne MacKean and I am the Political Studies Society (PSS) President. Funny, you say you have never heard of us.. well that's okay, I won't take to heart. That is why I am writing this. The aim of the society is to get political studies students together to have some fun and possibly learn something (not much, but occasionally something). There is no pressure to do anything but hang out. We are planning to have a couple of get togethers, purchase Society hats and other such things. We welcome any ideas. The executive is as follows: Vice President Peter Clarey, Secretary/Treasurer Ryan McCarville, and De- partment Representative Matt MacFarlane. What we need is

We have also decided to have a student/prof BEACH PARTY Friday Sept 27. We will be meeting in the political studies lounge at 2:30 and then heading to the beach (transportation will be provided). London on the February Break

If you are interested in going to London, England on the February break, please talk to Dr. Shannon Murray (566-0404 or e-mail smurray@upei.ca) before October 2.

We will leave Charlottetown Friday night, February 21, and return on March 1. The cost at the moment is $1400, including tickets, taxes, hotel for seven nights, transportation to and from the London airport, a _. week's London transportation pass, and tickets to two plays. The cost may de- crease before we have to confirm because of fluctuat- ing airline fares.

Participants are free to explore those aspects of this great city which interest them, with two optional group trips to the new Globe to bury the UPEI Time Capsules (earned at last year's "Bardathon") and to Stratford-upon-Avon.

RUGBY

Just a Man's Sport? No Way!

Rugby is a very rough and physically demanding sport, which may lead some to believe it is a man's sport. Rugby, however, is an excellent way for everybody, man and woman alike, to get into shape, relieve stress and make friends with teammates. UPEI has a rugby club which consists of three teams: two men's teams

~ women's team. The popular-

ity of rugby among women is increasing, shown by a large turnout at this season's first — practices. The UPEI rugby teams practice three times a week to brush up on skills and fitness for weekend games. The UPEI rugby club's next home games are on Saturday, September 28, starting at 1:00pm at UPEI. Rugby fans or curious onlookers are welcome, but be warned, the women are | just as rough and rowdy as themen!
