The recent election of the Hon. C. C. Colby by an overwhe!ming majority in a Protest- ant county, indicates that the people, as weil the politicians, are fully alive to its import- ance.

J. H. Gray, Judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia ; Hon. Edward Palmer, Chief Justice of Prince Edward Island; Mr. C. J. Brydges, known at one time as the Napoleon of Railways; Hon. J. H. Pope, for many years a Minister of the Crown under the Leadership of Sir John Macdonald ; Hon. R&bart Dunsmuir, the millionaire of British Columbia; Dr. Howard, Dean of the Medical Faculty of McGill College.
