Springfield W. Players Present Fine Play
-There was a large audience at the 0'Leary Community Hall on Thursday evening, May 15th when the Springfield West play- ers presented their three-act com-
-edy, ”The Little Imp", under the
auspices of the 0'Leary United Church Young People's Union. Rev. W. G. Dickson was chair- man and cordially welcomed the large audience and the cast from Springfield West, who are mak- ing a fine reputation for present- -ing most enjoyable plays. From beginning to end the play was re- plete with fun, laughter and mer- riment. Every member of the cast was ideally suited to his or
her part.

-Jean Dickson represented the 0'Leary school in the semi-final competition which was held the Summerside High School Auditorium on Friday, May 16th. The young singer sang the vocal solo. "All Through The Night". The sblectlon was sung in the Schurmans School Parade.

The O'Leary Fire has recently purchased so fine truck which will carry a large tank filled with hundreds of gal- lons of water. With their pump- or and hose and this addition of the truck the 0iLesry Fire Del”- will be able to give the residents of the province's newest village, fine fire protection service. The fire chief is Lloyd Silliker.

Mr. and Mrs. George Matheson and family, who were living in Alberton during the fall and win- ter months where Mr. Matheson was employed with the Maritime Electric Co., have returned to their home in O'Lesry where Mr. Matheson is employed with Jellys Department Store. He is a diml- ifled radio repairman. and is able to service all types of radios. Since the departure of Douglas Hardy for the R.C.A.F.. the village of O'Leary has been without a radio repairman. so we are glad to have him back. He is a veteran 07 World War Two. AZ
