So confilent were the party that jeading members of it predicted that io three months they would be in power. Bat the people had learned « lesson in 1873. The Government had already beaten the Opposition in the game of unseating. Ic speedily became evident that the Uppo- sition had beaten the Government out of eight in the game of corruption. They fell two to one in the courte. This result will probably be reached.
