Miss Alton Rodd then gave an interesting detailed report oi the Leadership Training Course given in Charlottetown in March and at- tended by the president. secretary and herseli. An interesting feature on the afternoon's program was an address by Mrs. .l.A. Lawson en- titled. "It's on the Label." A dem- onstration ”Isl:tnd Industries" by Parkdale and an address by Miss Robin were next enjoyed by all.

It was moved by Mrs. M.F- Rodd and seconded by Mrs. Cook that the collection taken at our con- vcntlon (314.50) be equally divided between .the Jubilee Endowment Fund and the ladies who attended the L.T. C.

Aiter a short sing-song led by Mrs. Earl Poster the meeting ad- journed ior dellghtiul reireshments served buiiet style.

The evening session opened at eight o'clock by the singing ni 0 Canada. Following this a chorus by Parkclale women. Miss Hornby's string in semble, and the Hlghiield Dancers contributed pleasing num- her: to the evening's program.

The speaker ior the evening. Dr. L. W. Shaw, chose for his subject. "Drop-Outs from School" rind a very interesting ieeussio follow- ed. The convention was brought to it close by singing "The Queen."

A farewell party was held in the Tyne Valley Hall on Monday even- ing, September lst. in honour or Mr. and Mrs. John Ballum, Mr. Ernest Ellis in his very capable manner acted as chalnnan and ex- pressed on behalf of everyone their regret at losing Mr. and Mrs. Bal- lum as citizens. An address was read by Mr. Donald Macbean and a presentation oi a purse was made by Mr. Edwin Hansen. Tyne Val- ley's loss is surely Montague's gain as Mr. and Mrs. Ballum and iam- ily are taking tip residence there.
