Missionaries to new and scattered settlements of white people are also needed ; for if not instructed in spirit- ual things they soon lapse into immorality. It is for these purposes that money is re- quired. Lf we give freely towards missions in the Northwest, it will help to widen our ideas, to make us comprehend the great fact that we are one people, and to lay the foundations ef a great Canadian nationality in righteousness and true holiness.
