e . PETER A. MacDOUGALL ' and relatives on Prince Edward Island were sad- dened at the death in Fairbanks. Alaska. on December 7. 1962. of Peter A. MacDougall. Peterwas born at Blooming Point. PEI. on November 3. 1902. There he spent the years of his childhood and boyhood beloved and ad- mired by young and old. He received his early education in his district school and later in Charlottetown. He first went to Alaska in the spring of 1925. On November 30, 1933. he mar- ried Dora Werner and settled in Fairbanks. Peter was looked upon by all his associates as the shining example of one whose Christian principles ever were the guiding forces of his every act. He was a man amon m a man whose character was that of the truly great.

He was a patient Christian sufferer in St. Joseph's Hospital, Fairbanks, where his hospital bed was his desk whence his example still radia- ted his way of life of showing people how to live and how to die. During the trying time of his illness Fr. Murphy had been his frequent visitor bringing con- solation and inspiration.
