These all give the person either an expression of idiocy, silliness, or suffering. But the principal thing,” added the doctor, “is the necessity of perents and nurses watching childres | when they fali asleep, and preventing them from breathing with their mouths open. Conscious With a Bullet in His Brain.

Louis Borel drew a table before the mirror in his room on the fourth floor of 222 West Twenty-eighth Street, N. Y., Wednesday morning, and sitting on one corner of it so that he could see himself in the mirror, fired a bal! from a pistol! into his brain, When found he was still conscious, and said that he had shot himself beceuse be was too poor to live comtortably and preferred to die rather than to get into debt to his landlady. He was removed to Bellevue hospital,where died. He was 26 years old and a native of Switzerland. He had been employed as a waiter at the St. James Hotel, but was discharged about a week ago, and had been drinking heavily ever since.
