NEW YORK. May 2i —- (AP)- Youthful George Cofiman, making his big-league debut today with Detroit Tigers, pitched them to an 11-inning 4-2 victory over the Red Sox in Boston.

Neither team was able to score until the seventh inning, when Hank Greenberg, Tiger first-sucker slammed one of Lefty Groves of- ferings over the left field wall. scoring behind Gehringer who had singled.
