The regular weekly meeting or the North Tl-yon Y. P. Society was held in the Presbyterian Manse on Monday evening. The devotional service was led by Dean Jonston, and opened with the call to wax- ship followed by the singing of "The Star of Christmas."

The scripture lesson was read by Grace l-Iowatt. Ida, mils and Max- jorie Wood led in prayer. An aci- dress on the tcpic "The Christian Life” uas given by Miss Mary A. MacKenz.ie; this was followed by a discussion on same. The offering was received and dedicated.

The devotional service closed with the mlzpah benediction. The business period was presided over by the President. Ruth Tllomson. The minutes of the previous meet- ing mare read by the sect-etary. -The above named company was formed at a meeting of farm- ers and dealers held in Kcnslng- ton on Dec. lb. The meeting was called by a committee previously appointed to secure a scales for installntion in close proximity to the new C.N.R. cattle pen.

Mr. Don Baker presided and called on Mr. Murdock McLeod to explain what had been done. Mr. McLeod told the meeting that I scales and building to cover it had been purchased from the County Construction Company at I cost of 52.500. Scales and building would be installed immediately.

The C.N.R. will supply adjustable gangways for convenience in load- ing and unloading livestock. It was decided to form a company and the following provisional di- rectors were appointed: Don Bak- er. Kensington. Lorne Crozler. Kensington. Wm. Johnson. -Long River, Hugh Campbell. Grl'hIm'I Road. Herbert McEwen, Stanley. Elmer Stewart. No:-boro, Charles Loclcharl. Mslpeque. It was decid- ed that shares would be S5.00 each and capital stock would be 9.000.
