Youths Steal Milk Money

SUMMERSLDE — The theft by two youths. of ,money from milk bottles at "a Water Street Resi- dence abut 11 p. m. Friday was witnessed by the occupants of the home, but the young thieves make such a fast disappearing act that police were unable to lo- cate them only minutes otter their hasty departure. -

Puzzled by actions of the youths whose attention was focus- ed towards the window of the home as they walked by the house several times, the residents of the property observed the sud- den action of the smaller of the

The service of praise was led by a girls’ choir with Miss An nie Leard as organist. As a special selection the choir sang, “Whisper A Prayer.” The nurs- eiy and kindergarten classes sang, "Jesus Loves Me.” The offering was received by Alan Leard, Gordon Morrell, Clair Rayner and Earle Wells. Recognition was made by Mrs. C. H. Weeks who served as sup- erintendent of the Sunday school for almost ten years. .Fish Landings In Quebec Up

QUEBEC (CP)—'Landing of fish and shellfish in Quebec during July were up more than nine per cent from those of the corres- ponding month last year, but the Cod catch dropped slightly more than three per cent.

The fisheries division of the Quebec bureau of statistics said 24,629,800 pounds of fish and shell- fish were landed duringthe month, up 9.5 per cent from the July, 1957 total. They were valued at $705,991, an increase of 9.7 per cent.

During July, 18,998,500 pounds of cod were landed, representing a value of $438,442—a decrease of 3.3 per cent in the catch, but an increase of 12.7 in value coin- pared with the same month a year ago.

The third man, a former native of Borden, had been released from jail in Summerside earlier in the day alter serving a sen- tence resulting from a break made several months ago at the insurance office of Bill Young, next door to the scene of the Saturday Nnght assault and rob- bery incident.

This man was arrested in Char- lottetown later that night where he had proceededby car from Summerside only to be delivered into the hands of Charlottetown police because the driver was ex- periencing difficulty in getting him cut of the vehicle. Charlot- tetown police, only numutes be- fore, had received word that this man was wanted in Su‘mmerside.

The other two men' arrested in connection with the incident are both from Glace Bay, N. S., but have been in the Simmer-side area on at least one previous oc- oasion.
