Farm Horse Breeding.

Many of our farmers breed to raise their ideal light, handy little horse for general-purpose horse for their own use, andif they happen to get a good horse, it is the first one suid. Is it uot better to breed for the most salable horse, large, heavy, draft, or stylish coachers, and keep ail the mares and young horses to do the farm work?

jubilee of His Holiness, as an evidence of Catholic unity, and says that imitating Christ who, on the eve of his passion, prayed that his disciples be united,

he (the Pope), at the end of his life, desires to invite all men with- | out distinction of race or country

| to enter the church. His Holine-s then | appeals to Protestants, and points out that | the vy have no fixed rule of faith nor author- ity, and asserting that many of them even | deny the divinity of Christ, the inspiration

The attention of Commerctal Travellers is ealled to the foliowing sections of an Act

assed by the Legisiative Assembly of Prince award Isiand, Session (804, intitaled “An Act to Impo-e a Dircet tax on Certain Classes ot ee tn

. “From and after the passing of this Act on ry casual trader not permanently residing inthis Provinee doling business within t is Province, commonty known as “Commercial Travellers,” and eve ry person bot permanent- “ly resid'ng in this Provinee, and who sella either for himself or any other person any goods, wares or merchandiz? in this Province, or solicits or canvasses tor orders either for himset(or any Other person for tae sale, ex- change or purchase of any goods, wares or merehandize within this Province, either by the production of sampics, photographs, cata. logues, printed or written mtter, or shuply by word of mouth without the production of sample s, photographs, ca'aiogues, printed or written matter, shall, before he or she entera upon the business of so selling any wares or merchandize, or soliciting or can- vassing for such orders, pay to the Provincial Treasurer of this Province an annual iteer se fee or direct tax of fifteen dollars.”
