Some even expressed the opinion that they would rest easier this summer. knowing that the child would be protected from the scourge.

OTTAWA (CP)-Unemployment may steal the spotlight at next week's federal . provincial fiscal conference. with the governments' anxiety sharpened by new figures showing a post-war jobless peak.

Pro - conference information is that the government beads could take fairly-substantial action. at least going beyond the original intention of holding the April 3

' merely as a curtain-raiser for a general conference later in the year.
