Cold Spell Delights Tignish As Outdoor Rink Sees Action ‘

TIGNISH — After a mild spell of weather and much dis- apppointment by the younger generation. Jack Frost smiled on the Village of Tignish this week. allowing the Tignish Sports Recreation Association to open the outdoor skating rink. Tuesday evening.

The rink put in top shape by a hard working board of direc~ tors since November. has re- cently had installed a new light- ing system that does much to add to the attraction of the village at night. Changes have bemi made to the dressing rooms. ticket office and well- stocked canteen.

Plans are well underway for a public address system, the first to be installed on any out- door rink in the community.
