LONDON. Feb. I - (CP) - A Britltsh peer announced vhlt world opinion is definitely against In- dia -- and Prime Minister Nehru in particular - in the dispute with Pakistan over Kashmir.

Lord Vanaittart. who lolthes Communism and doesn't hesitate to say so, wrote in the Conserva- tive Dai-iy Telegram: "It is time for someone to say flatly that Mr. Nehru's attitude and his profess- ed aims flatly contradict each other."

The Conservative peer. who was chief di-p-lomatic adviaor to the Foreign Office from 1938 to 1041. said it seems strange tihat Nehru should have so much conciliation for Com-munist China and so little for a fellow state in the Com- monwealth. Pakistan.

Britain and other Common- wealth countries have been scru- pulously neutral in the tihree-year- old dispute over Kashmir. Lord Vansittari. is the first proiiiinent public figure here to take sides.

Editorial opinion has also been against India. Reports during the recent Commonwealth Prime Min- isters conference that Pakistan had accepted three possible solu- tions to the conflict, wihile India rejected them all. provoked critic- ism of Neihru by two Conservative newspapers, the Daily Telegram and the Yorkshire Post.
