Opon motion of Mr. W.H. Aitken, seconded by Mr L. L. Beer, and supperted | by Mr. W. A. Weeks, i: was unanimously resolved that Dr. Warburtom be nominated for the office of Mayer.

The follewivg resolution was eubmitted ty Mr. Geo. E Hughes and seconded by Mr. James Paton:

Resolved, That this meeting request the Legislative Assembly of this Broviace, at its next seseion, t9 amend the ‘Act in- corperating the City ef Charlottetown” repealing the present ward system of eleetiog Councillors and providing for the election of Mayor and Councillors by the accumulative vete of the citizens.
