R- B. Norton, Eeq-, of Charlottetown, moved, and Mr. A- A, McLean, Q-C., seconded, the nomination of Wiliisam E. Dawson, Esquire.

A ballot having been taken, the result was announced as 102 votes for Mr. Stewart, and 36 votes for Mr. Dawson.

Mr. R-B. Norton then moved, seconded by Mr. James Paton, and eupported by Mr. W. F. H. Carvell, that the nomina- (ion be made unanimous.

Prowse met Mr. Lowe, the dealer to whom Senator Ferguson consigned his shipment, Mr, Lowe spoke in ihe higheet terms of the excellence of the fruit and said that instead of receving two or three bundred barrr's he would have been gled to get that many thousand barrele. St. Ann’s Church, at Hope River, on Tuesday was the scene of one of those bappy events id which the silken tie is made which binde two willing hearts for life. The principals were Mr, Jerome J Peters, who arrived from Ontario a few weeks ago, and Miss Katie M LeClair, adaughter of Mr. Prospere LeClair, of Toronto. The bride was prettily and tastefully dressed, and «large number of friends were present to witness the cere - mony, which was performed by the honored parish priest, the Rev. James Jineas McDonald. She was the recipient of many valueble and useful presents, and will shortly accompany her busband to e new home in the United States.
