WHEREAS His Worship the Mayor ofthe (V‘ity of Charlotte- town hath, on account of the recent tires which have taken place in. this C'ty, and which are supposed to be the work of Incendiaries, expressed to me his apprehensitm of impending danger from Incendiarism to this City, and his desire that a suit- able reward be offered for the detection and punishment of any person or persons who shall hereafter be guilty of any act or acts of lucendiarism: I have thought lit, by and with the advice and consent of Her Majesty’s Council, to proclaim, and I do hereby proclaim and offer a Reward of ONE Hl'Nlllllill PO [It’llh‘ to any person or persons (not the actual party to the act) who will give such information and evidence as will lead to the dis- covery, apprehension and conviction ot'auy person or persons who shall hereafter be guilty of any act or acts of lncetuliarism.

this day pleased to ﬁx and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invotee of Dutiablo Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money oftho Island, as followsz——

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents ofthe paper currency of the United States, the amount of such Invoice shall be reduced into current nmncy of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOUR. SHILLINGS AND SIX-1" IISCE, and in the like proportion for any traction of a Dol- lar; of which all Collectors of Impost are to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
