We hope Shakespeare would not mind too mud'z our paraphrasing of his lines but he never had to write of Panther teams which gained but one point out of a possibleten on a weekend. . . .

With the knowledge that a new President is installed much less frequently than Panther teams gain victory, we decided to remain at home this past weekend to participate in the ceremonies relative to such an outstanding event in the history of our young institution. Fortunately the festivi- ties went over with much

‘more success than did the

efforts of our teams in their pursuit of

’ athletic victories.

We were thus enabled to see Vincie Mulligan's Soccer Panthers struggle to a l—l tie with the University of Monoton in a hard fought battle, Kevin Burdett getting our lone marker. We are quite aware that this is a game enjoyed by more people than any other (the mating garre excepted) .

While we can't claim to share their enthusiasm to a great extent we must admit it is an interesting and rarely understood game requiring great skill and endurance with few rules. We marvel
