Meeting opened with "0 Can- ada." 15 rnmnbers answered roll call and there were several vlslt~ 01's present. Four sick bill: were handed 1n by committee and sev- eral expressed their thanks for sick treats received.

Plans were discussed for a dance to be held in Bel-fast Hail.

Mrs. J. R. Ross invited members to her home for August meeting. and roll call is to be a Grab Bag. Mrs. J. H. Ross is to have next P. T. article.

Collection for the evening amounted to $111 and Penny Tic- ket Article brought in 89 cents. Mrs. MacLeod put on a contest which caused much amusement and prizes were won by Mrs. E. Morrison, Mrs. Mabel MacFJach- ern, Mrs. Wm. Ross and Mrs. Nell MacKinnon.

The hostess served lunch. sisted by Mrs. V. Prizzell.

The president thanked Mra. Macbeod for her hospitality to all. and all joined in a. hearty hand clap.

The evening oamo to a close with "The King."

The ratepayers of North Wilt- shire school, with the aid of the Women's Institute. are to be congratulated on the high stand- ard of their school with regards to both building and equipment.

This is one of the largest one- room schmls in the province and it has been indeed fortunate in having some excellent teachers in the past number of years. as is shown by the splendid marks of the pupils.

In 1946 a pupil from this school was successful in winning a Provincial scholarship. Again in 1947 one pupil won a Provin- cial scholarship and another a Bell scholarship. In the past year although there was no Grade
