There is also. great difficulty in obtaining work at Elbeeut, Nuthouse, and Quentin, In Paris, too, the completion of most of the new streets and buildings has thrown a yreat number of labor- ers out of work, and men who earned from four to five francs a day last year are now glad to obtain employment at legs than half that rate. This state of things will of course be still further aggravated by the close of the Exhibition.
