By their extraordinary virtuee they have obtaiued the largest sale of any medicine in the world. Head, Heart, Lungs and Stomach. Look to the regularity of the functions of these foundations of vitality, Holloway’s Pills restore to order the slightest departure frow the proper action, j and, therefore, may be considered as the regulators of the mainspring of human life. Apoplexy can jalways be prevented if the proper action of the | bowels be attended to, which this famous medicine never fails to accomplish. Disorders of the head and heart often terminate suddenly and fatally from obstructions in the system, whieh might gene- rally be prevented by taking small and regular doses of this fine corrective. Female Disorders. No medicine can be so infallibly relied upon for yercoming all obstructions as these Pills; they never fail to restore a healthy action througbout the system. Holloway’s Pills increase the appetite, re- gulate the liver, repress biliousness, bealthily sti- wulate the kidneys, and move the bowels in a more wholesowe and natural manner than any other medicine. . Disorders incidental to Children. The liver and stomach of children are, from many causes, often out of order, as they are allowed to eat many things that would disagree with their parents, hence their blood becomes impure, and liable to take any disease that is prevalent, and that in the worst form. One Pill, reduced to a powder, and put in a little water, given occasionally to children of twelve months eld, and to those ot three or four years, three Pills, and to others of seven years of age, four Pills — will always make thildren look blooming and healthy. Seventy-five out of every hundred do not reach the age of matu- rity. Holloway’s Pills weuld not only preserve | their health, but save the lives of thousands. By Dr La’Merr, 87 Bedford Square, Londoa, Li- centiate of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh ; Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, ke. The above work contains most useful and interest- ing iniermation on the physiological changes which occur in the Reproductive System during the periods of youth, puberty, and manhood; and on the due attainment of that degree of functional vigour upon which the hopes of pusterity depend. It also points out how ail the attributes of manhood can be pre- served to an advanced period of life, how they are lost, and how they can be recovered. It is free from the gross exaggerations, alarming descriptions, and dangerous remedies so generally resorted to by persons, who, practising with false medical qualifi- cations, inflict most serious injuries, and render judi- icous treatment frequently abortive. The author is the only legally qualified practi- tioner whose name stands on the ‘ Medical Register,’ (the sole test of medical qualification) who bas been exclusively engaged for a series of years in the treatment of the various functional disorders of the nervous and reproductive system, which, owing to the great discoveries of modern science, are render- ed subservient to a rational, simple and easy mode of treatment. There is ove class of medical lore, how- j ever, that stands in a position somewhat exceptional to our remark, aud which treats on disorders and irregularitivs in which morality is offended. For this reason the patient too often suffers in secret, or pursues in ignorance practices that daily bring him into a more hopeless condition for want of friendly advice. To such we recommend a perusal of the ‘Medical Adviser’ of Walter De Ras, M. D., of London, an established Physician, graduate and licentiate of all the regular institutions of London and Paris; and who has wade nerveus disorders and their baneful origin his particular study, rnd obtain- ed such a practice in this branch of therapeutics. as qualifies him to be a safe and competent adviser.— County Chronicle, May 7th, 1861. “the MEDICAL ADVISER, by Wacren practicai book which has come under our notice The autbor isa man of most enlarged experience.” —Derby Telegraph, June 29th,1861. It was to their uanifost and sen. sible action in purifying the springs and channels of life, and indulging them with renewad tone and vigor, that they were indebted tor their name. Unlike the host of pernicious quackeries which boast of vegetable ingredients, the LIFE MEDI. CINES are purely and solely vegetable; and contam neither Mercury nur Antimony vor Arsenic gor other mineral, in any form whatever. They are ep. The first operation is to loosen from the coatsof the stomach and bowels the variousimpurities and erydj- ties constantly settling round them; and to remoye the hardened feces whieh collect in the eonvoly. tions of the small intestines. Other medicines only partially cleanse these, and leave such collected wasses behind as to produce habitual Costiveness with all its train of evils, or sudden Diarrhea with its imminen dangers. This fact is well-known, tu all regular anatomiste who examine the human, bowels after death; and hence theprejudices of these well informed men against the quack medj- cinesof the age. The second effect of the VEGE- TABLE LIFE MEDICINES is to cleanse the kid- neys and the bladder; and, by this means, the livey and lungs, the bealthful action of which entirely depends upon the regularity of the urinary organs. The blood, which takes its red color from tue ne of the liver and lungs, befcre it passes inte the | heart, being thus puritied by them, and nourished by tood coming from a clean stomach, courses freely through the veins, renews every part of the system,, and triumphantly mounts the bauner of health jn the blooming cheek. The following are among the distressing variety of buiman diseasesin which the VEGETABLE LIFR MEDICINES are weil known to be infallible. DYSPEPSIA, by thorcughly cleansing the first and second stomachs, and creating a flow of pur. healthy bile, instead of the stale and acrid kind, Restlessness, Lit-Temper, Langour, aud Melancholy, which are the general symptome of Dyspepsia, will vanish, as & natural consequence of its cure. The Lire Mepicines have been known to cure Rheumatism permanent!y in three weeks, and Goxt in half that time, by removirg loca) inflammation from the muscles aud ligaments of the joints.
