Minor losses were noted in the
steels, with Page-Hersey down %
at 33%.

In the construction group, Build-
ing Products fell % at 4234 and
Foundation % at 13%. Gypsum
improved % at 3412.

The beverages were fairly ac-
tive with Molson A improving
% at 3944, Walker off % at 31%,
Corby A up % at 18% and Sicks

less than one-half point. Golds
and western oils lost less than
one-quarter.

Changes among base metals
and golds were fractional with
losses and gains ahout balancing.
In western oils Calgary and Ed-
monton gained ec at 30% but Pa-
cific Pete was off 4%, Home Oil
B, % ‘and Royalite %.

Index losses: golds .22 to 84.28;
base metals .47 to 164.97; west-
