    Hon. Mr. Wacker, from the commit-
    tee appoiuted to prepare ao address 10
    His Excellency, in reply to his speech at
    the opening of the preseut session, pre-
    sented the following draft thereof, which
    was read a first time aud ordered to be
    read a second time to-morrow:

    tee of the House of Assembly.

    House ot Assemb!y by the Hon. Mr.
    Coles, with a resolution to the effect that
    they had appoiuted a committee, consist-
    ing of the Hon, Col. Secretary, Hon,
    Attoruey General, Hon, Mr. Haviland,
    Mr. Jenkins, Mr, Yeo, and Hon. Mr.
    Davies, to. join a committee of this

    found that, though money was very
    cheap, yet there was a geueral want of
    confidence felt in movetary circles, and,
    therefore, it was not thought advisable to
    take up the Joau at that particular time.

    loan upon the market under similar cir-
    cumstances, aod it appeared that they
    only had a tender for a very small por-
    tiou of the sum they required. It was
    not, therefore, deemed advisable by that
