    Raitroad Suasu in Canapa. — We learn
    from a late Canadiag paper that on the Gr!
    instant @ terrible accident occurred at Strat-
    ford, on the Grand Trunk Railway. A Strat-
    turd paper of the eve ling of the 6th furnishes
    the following particulars respecting the ac
    cwlent:—

    ** The express train from Toronto, due here
    atSa.m., was nearly two hours late, and
    the fog being very thick, collided with a
    freight train ‘rom the west with tremendou
    furce. The effect of the concussion was such
    a: to smash bute engines, the baggay« car,
    and many of the freight cars, ae the en-
    gine driver, Edward Dever:ll, on the spot,
    badly imiuring the fireman, Vippans, a» well
    ae the baggage master, Marry Donald, aad
